Young Apprentice is back and the mini entrepreneurs have already been confronted with the first of many gruelling tasks. The fresh-faced boys were pitted against the eager girls and both teams were sent off to create a fantastic range of frozen treats. The boys ended up losing and young Mahamed Awale got the chop, but the 250,000 bursary is still for the taking and the competition is getting hot.

While some kids dream of drinking cider down the park, others are already featuring on the most popular celeb gossip sites. Ready with self-aggrandising one-liners and dressed up to the nines, a host of youngsters are left to battle it out.

Ben Fowler: 16-year-old Fowler is studying for a Business Diploma and lives in Birmingham. Desperate to succeed, this young chap started up his own gardening business in 2008 and wants to be seen as a strong leader. Unlike many of the contestants he doesn t particularly like arguing, so he ll need to brace himself for potential confrontations with Lord Sugar.

Gbemi Okunlola: Already an award-winning fashion designer, this 16-year-old entrepreneur even has her own clothing line. A self-proclaimed diva, Miss Okunlola is certainly not the shy, retiring type and will do anything to make sure that she is heard. Perhaps she will be designing

all the latest celeb fashion trends

in the future?

Hannah Richards: Hannah is a keen footballer and plays for two teams. Competitive and ambitious, Miss Richards likes to out-do other people and is there to win the show. She s made money in the past selling vintage clothes and hopes to get into property management sometime in the future.

Harry Hitchens: Ruthless and determined, Harry certainly wants to win. He s been in work since he was nine and now runs his very own photography business. A rugby player with an artistic side, Mr Hitchens focuses solely on profits and always aims high let s see.

Harry Maxwell: School prefect Harry started his first business at the tender age of 10 and runs three successful businesses. At just 16 Harry is quite the perfectionist and apparently gets his inspiration from music mogul Simon Cowell.

Haya Al Dlame: Bossy-boots Haya has always loved money and will go out of her way to make a profit. Born in Iraq, this young starlet moved to the UK when she was six and is determined to think outside the box. She longs to be an eBay trader and wishes she had invented MAC cosmetics.

Hayley Forrester: 16-year-old Hayley hates it when people claim benefits when they could be working and says her life revolves around order . A young but determined businesswoman she already sells free-range, organic eggs from her own chickens.

James McCullagh: Risk-taking Irishman James has a passion for economics and considers himself a natural businessman. Believing he will be an investment for Lord Sugar, this chap certainly does not lack confidence, but does he have what it takes?

Lewis Roman: Gym buff Lew longs to change the business world forever. With his sights set high, this curly-haired lad thinks he will go far describing himself as confident, charismatic and clever . Lord Sugar will certainly put him straight if he gets too big for his boots.

Lizzie Magee: Lizzie has undoubtedly achieved a lot in her short 16 years. She s a published author, runs her own business designing personalised guitar straps and breeds Jack Russell terriers. She s confident she s the best person for the job, so let s keep a close eye on her.

Zara Brownless: Amateur film-maker Zara used to be a baby model and is now ready to step into the limelight once again. She believes you have to stand up and make your dreams happen we ll soon see if she has what it takes.
